The Technical and Community Services Department is a broad and socially important workplace where many competencies collaborate. Here, we work with the entire community building process – from regulatory authority tasks and planning to project implementation, operations, and service.
Our operations include environment and health, building permits, land surveying, projects, operations, maintenance, water and waste, as well as cleaning and meals. Within the support staff, there is administration, development issues, and GIS, which support the operations and contribute to coordination, quality, and long-term development.

The Water & Waste Business Area is responsible for all activities related to water and sewer services as well as waste management within Motala and Vadstena municipalities.
About the Position
The waste operations in Motala Municipality are developing, and we are now looking for two case workers for our new customer and operational administrative function.
With us, you will become part of the Waste Strategy unit within the Water and Waste Business Area. You will have the opportunity to help shape a new function with a strong focus on service, collaboration, quality, and continuity.
The positions are located at the Waste Unit in Tuddarp. The work is carried out close to daily operations and involves a central role where you combine customer contact, administration, and system support. As a case worker, you become a vital link that makes daily flows run smoothly for both customers, colleagues, and contractors.

Responsibilities
Together with your case worker colleague, you will support and back each other up in daily tasks, which include among other things:
- Customer and Case Management: Process and respond to subscription and waste cases via phone and email, as well as handle order flows and events in the systems Artvise and EDP Future.
- Invoicing and Finance: Create and cancel invoices, handle contractor settlements, and receive delivery attestations.
- Entry Control and Operational Administration: Review documentation such as waste characterization and test analyses prior to reception. Handle inbound and outbound weighings, check transport documents, and manage reporting of hazardous waste to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's portal. Support with related operational administration, such as transport bookings and ongoing routines.
- Operational Support and Statistics: Act as administrative support for drivers and facility staff in practical daily questions (e.g., regarding driving lists or weighing systems). Produce statistics and materials needed for the planning and follow-up of operations.
- System and Registry Maintenance: Continuously update customer registers, handle error lists, ownership changes, and register delegation decisions.
- Collaboration and Service: Maintain close contact with both colleagues within the unit, operational staff, contractors, and other functions within the municipality, such as the Service Center. You also contribute to keeping the unit's work routines up to date.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- Post-secondary education within administration or other education that the employer deems equivalent, or alternatively experience that is assessed to correspond to the educational requirement.
- Experience in administrative work, case processing, or customer service.
- Good computer skills and experience working in digital operational systems.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is meritorious if you have experience of:
- Municipal operations.
- Waste operations or other customer-oriented administration.
- Retrieving data, compiling information, or creating simpler reports from operational systems.
- Work in operational systems linked to customer or subscription management.

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00.
